About Me

“Teaching is a work of heart and dedication to activate young minds.” I have been a bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural educator for 10 years now. I studied at USD for my undergraduate studies, part of my graduate school in Spain, and was a Spanish and English adjunct instructor at Southwestern College. I grew up in an Immersion setting and thus am a firm believer of our program. Believe it or not, my dad never let me speak in English at home only in school. As an adult, I realized why he did it. I have two younger brothers, Omar who is studying to be a School Psychologist and Christian, who is studying to be a Physical Therapist. I also have a maltipoo, Bella, who is a wonderful addition to my family. Your children will hear a lot about her throughout the year! Here are a few photos of my beloved family.

My passions are running, traveling, listening to Spanish music, spending quality time with friends and family, and of course teaching Spanish to your children! Here are some photos of my travels.

I am very excited and honored to educate your children this school year at Camarena. Learning Spanish as a second language is a big deal and something you will not regret! They will teach you. “Oh the places they’ll go!” Dr. Seuss
