We are having a great first week!

The students are having so much fun with our Color Days. They are learning the colors in Spanish so fast! I'm pleased at how much Spanish they've picked up in only a few days of school.

Wellness Policy: We appreciate healthy lunches and snacks. Please try to provide fresh fruit, veggies, granola bars, cheese/crackers, veggie chips. and juice or water. Limit 2 snacks. The kiddos are not eating all of it since they are probably still full after lunch. Lunch (more like brunch) is from 10:25-11:10 am and afternoon snack time and recess is at 12:45 pm.

Play Structure: The students are not allowed to play on the kinder play structure before or after school.
It's a safety issue and we are not there to supervise. Thank you for helping us with this!

¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Dual Immersion Kinder!

“Teaching is a work of heart and dedication to activate young minds.” I have been a bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural educator for 10 years now. I studied at USD for my undergraduate studies, part of my graduate school in Spain, and was a Spanish and English adjunct instructor at Southwestern College. I grew up in an Immersion setting and thus am a firm believer of our program. Believe it or not, my dad never let me speak in English at home only in school. As an adult, I realized why he did it. I have two younger brothers, Omar who is studying to be a School Psychologist and Christian, who is studying to be a Physical Therapist. I also have a maltipoo, Bella, who is a wonderful addition to my family. Your children will hear a lot about her throughout the year! Here are a few photos of my beloved family.
